It airs a diverse range of music genres, including house, drum and bass, dubstep, UK garage, old skool hardcore, reggae, and soul, reaching audiences in London and its surrounding areas on 101.4FM. In October 2016, Flex submitted an application for one of the upcoming community licenses being promoted in London, and it succeeded in securing the license in May 2017. Towards the end of 2017, the station began raising funds for the construction of new studios. Flex officially commenced its legal broadcasts as a community station on 1 July 2018, featuring a lineup of both original and new DJs and presenters. Flex FM slogan: "Past / Present / Future"
